Holocaust Remembrance-An Online Event
Sunday, April 11, 2021 • 29 Nisan 5781
5:00 PM - 6:00 PMMDSC member Naomi Elimelech will lead a Zoom event on Sunday, April 11, 5:00 pm, "Until the Very Last Jew: Eighty Years Since the Shoah". Israel established Yom HaShoah in 1959 as a day of commemoration and reflection about the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis during World War II. This year, Holocaust Remembrance Day will take place April 7-8. On Yom HaShoah, air raid sirens sound throughout Israel at 10:00 am to initiate the country’s solemn reflection on this horrendous event of Jewish history. Naomi is a graduate of the International School for Holocaust Studies (ISHS) at Yad Vashem, Jerusalem; and a certified Holocaust instructor who has led tour groups to Poland. Join us on Sunday, April 11 for Naomi’s presentation.
